Central Christian's Future Foundation Child Care Campaign was launched to expand our preschool and child care footprint, expand our current services, and expand our staffing.

In the spring of 2024, we sought to raise $2.1 million to remodel the former fire station that CCS purchased in 2012. We understood that having a new facility was essential, so we proceeded with construction to enable our child care and preschool to serve up to 99 children.

Early on in the quiet phase of the Future Foundation Child Care Campaign, we identified several donors who were excited to support this project. In addition, we could not be more thankful for the Reno County Child Care Task Force and the Kansas Child Care Accelerator Grant for awarding CCS several hundreds of thousands of dollars to make this project a reality.

It brings us great joy to announce that the construction of the new building is now fully funded thanks to the generous ongoing commitments, gifts, and grants we’ve received! Please join us in praising the Lord for His kind generosity.

During the planning and construction phase of the new facility, the CCS Board of Trustees decided to refer to it as the Early Education School, which better reflects our intent and focus. We are especially grateful to Jay and Connie Schrock, who generously committed a significant amount to this project. They accepted our invitation to name the building after them for their generous support that may impact hundreds – if not thousands – of lives in the future, Lord willing. Thus, with the CCS Board’s approval, our new preschool and child care facility will be named the Jay & Connie Schrock Family Early Education School.

While we are so grateful for the Lord’s continued provision, we still need additional funds to provide the new building with playground equipment, landscaping, and miscellaneous supplies. If you are interested in donating to our Early Education School, please click here.
